elaby: (Urquhart/Stamper)

I kind of threatened a little while ago that I was going to draw House of Cards fan art, and I've gone and done it. It's, um, silly. But possibly not silly in the endearing way; I'm not sure. Of course it's Urquhart/Stamper, but about as G-rated as it gets. Because it's me drawing.

Poor Stamper. Urquhart probably isn't even doing it on purpose. Then again, maybe he knows, because he's evil like that. Or maybe he's doing it subconsciously, because I doubt he has any idea how Stamper really feels about him.

The amusing thing about drawing this was that when [livejournal.com profile] caitirin saw it, she immediately assumed Stamper was Lestrade, but said to me, perplexed, "Holmes looks a little... strange..." And then, "Ohhhh. Stamper and Urquhart!" Tonight, when I scanned it, she intoned "Tell me what you really want, Tim." Woman of my dreams! I have trained her SO well XD

OMG OMG OMG I LOVE YOU! I will not apologise for gratuitous use of caps either. *strokes computer screen*

Stamper looks so cute, bless him. And Urquhart being cunning and devious, I love him. I love this picture as well. The first piece of HoC fanart I've ever seen.

You know, I debate with myself how much Urquhart knows about Stamper's feelings for him. Sometimes I think, maybe he does know and is using that knowledge to manipulate him. Then sometimes I think, maybe Urquhart doesn't even think Stamper capable of such feelings.

I'll stop rambling now and go and quietly squee in the corner.

No, stay out here and ramble all you want! *joy* Thank you SO much ^_^ Your use of caps has made me happy in the extreme! No need for apologizing!

I debate with myself about that too. On the one hand, it doesn't seem like something that would escape Urquhart's notice, but on the other, like you pointed out - if he doesn't think Stamper's even capable of that kind of emotion, he wouldn't realize it. And I think that if he did know, it might be kind of awful o_o

Eeeee!
Oh, painfully cute! Please don't say that's the only one in existence! I just patted Gorrlaus on the back because she's apparently alone in her THE ISLAND/CJ love...

Thank you XD I have no idea if anyone else has done and HoC fan art... [livejournal.com profile] liek_woah86 said this was the first she'd seen, at any rate. What's The Island again?

The Island

It's a Michael Caine movie with CJ as one of the perfectly vile bastards in a gang of pirates living in the uncharted isles in the past 300-so years. They kill nearly everybody they find and brainwash kids into joining their group...To hear Gorrlaus, CJ's character, Hizzoner, is drunk most of the time so he's actually easy to screencap (something I once thought impossible). She's been collecting CJ screencaps (bless the fates), and THE ISLAND is listed under "Lest-raaaarrrde" in http://gorrlaus.livejournal.com/ I've been adding to the torture by posting weird captions to go with them...

Oh yeah! I did see those screencaps! I just forgot the name of the movie. I must see it sometime.

You know, I have to ask...did you ever contemplate the possibility of fanfic where Stamper's death was faked in order to cause damage to Urquhart's plans further down the road? Seeing as how utter betrayal is in the recipe...

OooOOooo. Now that's an idea! I've never contemplated any HoC fanfic myself, other than "Maybe I should write fic sometime!" That's a good idea, though!

House of bloody Cards fanart! BRB, fallen into the Nostalgia Well. (Lassie, fetch help...)

My God, I'd almost forgotten that series. :Has warm and fuzzy memories of perching on the sofa and Staying Up Late with parents to watch it:

That's terrific: Urquhart's expression is so...well, so him. And aw, poor tremulous Stamper. :pets: <3

Hee! I'm happy it could bring you nostalgia ^_^ *pulls you out of the well* Urquhart is surprisingly nice to draw. Ian Richardson has such a unique face. And Stamper, aww, I can't help loving him even though he's such a creep XD
