Elaby is a literature geek who is known to lazily dabble in various fandoms. She loves Victorian things and detectives, so when these intersect she is particularly happy. Other fandoms she enjoys and might occasionally contribute writing or art to are Shakespeare, Marlowe (both Kit and Philip), Lord of the Rings, a bunch of other mostly pre-1900 literature, Star Trek of many varieties, Harry Dresden, Terry Pratchett's Night Watch novels, Shoujo Kakumei Utena, Puella Magi Madoka Magika, Sailor Moon, and several other anime and manga series. Writing is her favorite creative thing to do, and she enjoys writing historical fiction, fantasy, and semi-realistic and realistic fiction. Her work is often of the slashy-if-you-feel-like-it friendship-love variety, but not always.

Elaby has an MA in English Literature and hopes to continue being a student for the rest of her life. She draws when the mood hits her, and is usually pleased with it. She has the most wonderfullest wife in the entire universe.

In her spare time, she likes to make up music videos in her head, think about the motives of imaginary people, and listen to the people in her head talk to the people in other peoples' heads.
