Turn to page 123 in your work-in-progress. (If you haven't gotten to page 123 yet, then turn to page 23. If you haven't gotten there yet, then get busy and write page 23.) Count down four sentences and then instead of just the fifth sentence, give us the whole paragraph.

"Hey," Theo said, interrupting Felix's singing. "I need to talk to you. It's important." The girls gave him a collective nasty glare, but Felix looked surprised and stopped playing.
"All right. Didn't think I'd see you again anytime soon, though." He stood up, gathered the loose coins that were scattered around his feet, and made an elegant bow to the group of girls. "If you'll excuse me, young ladies. Your patronage has more than sustained me through your pretty smiles more than your coins." They giggled. Theo waited impatiently.

"Work-in-progress" is used loosely, unfortunately, as I've done a lot of thinking but very little actual progressing since the end of November *shame*
We saw Pan's Labyrinth today. BZUH. It was incredible. Incredibly good, incredibly violent, incredibly thought-provoking, incredibly everything. I'm REALLY glad I got to see it at the theatre (omg thank you
glr1114 and Dad for the movie card!). We saw Ghost Rider the other night, and it was enjoyable, but nothing comparing to this. Not even in the same league, obviously. Also, subtitled films = win.
Downstairs Thumpy Music Dude has quieted down somewhat, but tonight I can hear his music again. It's not as loud as it has been, though. We put a politely-worded note on his door the other day to ask him to keep it down as the walls are apparently thin and we could feel his bass through our floor. I think it worked pretty well. We DO keep getting some crackhead outside in a car with music playing so loud it actually vibrates our windows, though *twitch* But hopefully they won't come back.

Totally applies to me!
I bet you guys can't wait to move into your new place. And as far as movies goes: UGH. I used to go to the movies at least once a week if not twice and would you believe, I've seen one movie since Julie was born. Joe took me out on a "date" and then "surprised" me with the opening night of Jackass 2. -_-

Date: 2007-03-12 07:20 pm (UTC)Yes, I do. And first on the list: Meet the Robinsons. Joe is SUCH a guy. He felt that since he got me out of the house without a baby, I should be eternally grateful and it doesn't matter what movie we went to see. Can you believe that he wouldn't go see Serenity with me and low and behold I got him to fall in love with Firefly? Of course. I'm a woman. I know everything -_- so he obviously should have listened to me!
Once Julie is older and can walk a bit I will feel better about just dumping her on my parents a couple afternoons a month and going to a movie but for now, since she is still so incredibly hands-on and my mom is still healing, I don't want to do that just yet.

Date: 2007-03-12 09:37 pm (UTC)I am sure Caitirin said something to you but here's the plan atm. My mom and I are going to drive to PA when she is well and ready, and she's going to try to have her ticket transferred to my name so I can visit with Julie (either for the wedding, if you guys have room for 1&1/2 more guests, or before the wedding. I wouldn't want to have Julie up there when it gets insanely cold since I won't have a car) and if not, my mom is going to try to use the ticket and I'm going to buy my own (again, when it is a good time for you guys) Either way, it's about the same cost range so *squee* I might get to see you guys soon!
And thank you. I try my best with Julie =D
