Turn to page 123 in your work-in-progress. (If you haven't gotten to page 123 yet, then turn to page 23. If you haven't gotten there yet, then get busy and write page 23.) Count down four sentences and then instead of just the fifth sentence, give us the whole paragraph.

"Hey," Theo said, interrupting Felix's singing. "I need to talk to you. It's important." The girls gave him a collective nasty glare, but Felix looked surprised and stopped playing.
"All right. Didn't think I'd see you again anytime soon, though." He stood up, gathered the loose coins that were scattered around his feet, and made an elegant bow to the group of girls. "If you'll excuse me, young ladies. Your patronage has more than sustained me through your pretty smiles more than your coins." They giggled. Theo waited impatiently.

"Work-in-progress" is used loosely, unfortunately, as I've done a lot of thinking but very little actual progressing since the end of November *shame*
We saw Pan's Labyrinth today. BZUH. It was incredible. Incredibly good, incredibly violent, incredibly thought-provoking, incredibly everything. I'm REALLY glad I got to see it at the theatre (omg thank you
glr1114 and Dad for the movie card!). We saw Ghost Rider the other night, and it was enjoyable, but nothing comparing to this. Not even in the same league, obviously. Also, subtitled films = win.
Downstairs Thumpy Music Dude has quieted down somewhat, but tonight I can hear his music again. It's not as loud as it has been, though. We put a politely-worded note on his door the other day to ask him to keep it down as the walls are apparently thin and we could feel his bass through our floor. I think it worked pretty well. We DO keep getting some crackhead outside in a car with music playing so loud it actually vibrates our windows, though *twitch* But hopefully they won't come back.
