Papers and John Lennon
Dec. 8th, 2005 08:49 amJust as reluctant to work on my paper this morning as I was yesterday afternoon. Oh well. Has to be done.
Last weekend, I had a dream about my character Aubrey. You may or may not remember him from this post (beware craptacular formatting from where I transferred it from DJ). I also wrote something about him focusing around a Beatles song and getting fired for his being gay, but I apparently never posted it. Either that, or I never moved it over to LJ. I know certain people *cough
glr1114cough* have read that one, though.
Anyway, I dreamed that it was around December 9th, circa 1980, and Aubrey was sitting on a bench in Central Park. He had a radio that was playing Lennon songs on the seat beside him, and he was crying.
I feel some sort of duty to write this, but I knew I wouldn't get it done and posted for today, so I thought I'd post about the dream, at least. I've never really felt compelled to write anything "in memoriam" before, but you know, I always kind of felt sad that I was born two years too late to be alive at the same time as he was.
Back to writing papers. Bah!
