OMG second post in one day!

So, anybody out there know anything about tablets?

I want to ask my parents for one for Christmas, but I know nothing about them. I've dropped a comment to the illustrious ponderosa121 to see what she uses, but I wanted to ask you guys too.

I've been looking at Wacom because they're the only ones I've ever actually heard of. I've found two kinds:

The Graphire

The Intuos

The Intuos can be found on Amazon for about $160; the Graphire seems to be the same on both Amazon and the Wacom site. The Graphire seems more apt for my amature needs, but the reviews on Amazon are for the most part horrendous. However, I don't know if these people are picker than I would be... or if they just don't know how to use the software or something. None of them were terribly thorough in their reviews (or if they were, their situation was different from mine). Other than those, I don't even know what kind of tablets are out there.

Anyone have any advice?
