Saw that
glr1114 had done it, very niftily, and thought I'd do it as well!
And a small test.
あのままきえるのはゆるさない。
Sweet.
And something for you,
glr1114, to see if you've been studying! I put the spaces in even though they wouldn't be in Japanese, so you could deferentiate the words.
おおかみ は おおかみ
しんせんぐみ は しんせんぐみ
そして、 ひときり は ひときり
だろう、 ばっとうさい?
Wheee! Just watched Dr. No!
First day of job was really nice, by the way. *happies*

- anime:
Japanese animation, as if you people don't know what this is. I'm drawn to it because the style appeals to my sensibilities, and because it doesn't suffer from the "for kids only" stigma that American animation does. - caitirin kerian:
Arguablycaitirin's greatest character, who in her most simple description is a daywalking, ass-kicking vampire. Cai is atypical, multi-layered, and just so damn cool that there's no way I can't like her. It helps that she's my girlfriend's brainchild, but I would still admire the character if I didn't even know her creator.
- fanfiction:
Fiction about a show, movie, book, or other form of entertainment written by fans. I have my own feelings about fanfiction: mostly that it's incredibly hard to do right, and that few people realize that they can't just write their favorite characters doing what they want them to do - they have to write them doing something they would do. - himemiya anthy:
A character from Shoujo Kakumei Utena who I identify as one of my inspirations for creating characters with depth and stories that are not simply surface-level. She is incredibly developed, fascinating, terrifying, and above all, I sometimes think, misunderstood in the fandom -_- She also happens to be the first female I ever recognized attraction for. Eh heh. - julian:
I believe I was referring to Julian of Amber here... He's a character from Roger Zelazny's Amber series, which is incredible and which I'd recommend to anyone. Julian is your standard stoic-and-sarcastic type, which is why I liked him in the first place, but he obviously goes beyond that. He's very grouchy and has character development. Since it's never from his point of view, it's amazing what you can realize about him if you read closely enough. - lord of the rings:
Tolkien's epic, uh, thing. Reads in some places like a history text, but is SO SO GOOD. And very easy to make fun of. But the scope of Tolkien's world is just massive and awe-inspiring. - protection from bigots week:
This, I believe, was in response to Marriage Protection Week, whichteh executive assholeBush promoted toget people to manifest their hatred toward gaysprotect the moral value of solely heterosexual marriage. Nice peoples across LJ and DJ banded together to protest his silliness. - saitou:
Saitou is a character from Rurouni Kenshin. He's what you might call a pseudo-villain... he's introduced by trying to kill the main character, but he's ultimately on the side of good. He's just extremely brutal and has, er, interesting methods. He has his own very strict code of honor, but it definitely isn't what most people would call moral. He's wonderful. He has scathing repartee with just about everyone, and is definitely Smarter And Cooler and More Badass Than You. He also has sexy legs. And a wife, when you'd never ever imagine he'd have something like that. He's really great. - shoujo kakumei utena:
My favorite anime, and possibly my favorite anything as far as entertainment-type stuff goes, and definitely what I'd say is the best anime I've ever seen. No anime can surpass Utena for me. It's surreal, it's bizarre, it's compelling, it's so multi-layered that you could discuss it for years and never get to the core of it. And it has the best characters ever. - tenshi ni narumon:
A very cute little anime that has the same character designer as Utena. Absolutely insane. You have to get past the first few episodes of pure cracked-out silliness, and then you get to some really good stuff, approaching Utena's complexity in some ways. Just always intersperced with stuff that makes you go "WTF?!"

How do you get your computer to write the Japanese characters? It's way cool! Wanna do it!
Glad you liked your work!

Date: 2005-09-21 06:29 pm (UTC)I went into the language settings, which is somewhere under Settings on your start menu, and installed a bunch of stuff that you can choose to install in order to read various languages. There's a little icon now in my toolbar that lets me switch between English and Japanese. It's really nice because unlike a lot of those programs, if you type "ookami" it actually comes out with the right characters, and it doesn't assign one random English letter key to one random Japanese character.
*snuggles you!*
