I'm really not so good at posting in my LJ these days!
So, as Rachel will tell you, I never take sick days. For the past few years, I've somehow managed to be seriously ill (as in throwing up) only on days when I wouldn't've had to go to work anyway. There was the ankle breakage last fall, which I for some reason considered a more "legitimate" reason to take a sick day, but since then, I haven't taken a single day off work for feeling sick. Until today.
This is how it usually goes with me:
Step 1: STRESS FOREVER
Step 2: Acquire cold.
Step 3: Cold appears mild - Ha! It will not defeat me. Besides, too much work to be sick.
Step 4: Cold worsens on the first night.
Step 5: Next morning, drag self up, feeling congested and gross but able to face the day.
Step 6: Confidence of previous step lasts approximately 1 hour, after which comes onset of nausea, sweating, dizziness, chills, etc.
Step 7: Give up all attempts to work. Sleep.
Step 8: Wake up in late afternoon/early evening feeling disoriented but less sick.
I'm on Step 8 right now, and starting to feel hungry, which is a definite improvement. I can't wait until my wifey gets home <3
