Video games fix everything

Work this week has been TERRIBLE. Let me explain. No, it is too much. Let me sum up.

- My unit of three individuals has taken on double its normal workload.
- At the same time, the company reorganized, meaning that a) the majority of the people we're working with now don't know us or the processes we need them to follow; b) most of those aforementioned people are new to their jobs and/or our industry; and c) some of those processes I mentioned? Oh yeah, they changed too. Result: No one, including us, knows what the everloving hell is going on most of the time.
- We have yet to hire more staff to compensate for the increased workload. (This is in progress.)
- One third of us are going on vacation next week.

On the bright side:

- My manager has our back, frequently tells us things like "Don't even worry about that," and "I want you to feel empowered make those decisions."
- We're going to hire some new people SOME TIME SOON I SWEAR RIGHT?
- IT'S FRIDAY.

ALSO I HAVE BECOME COMPLETELY RE-OBSESSED WITH FINAL FANTASY IX. It's my favorite FF game, because it's adorable and the music is stunning and Rachel showed me how to play it during our courtship.

This may be the very video with which she wooed me into spending hours at her tiny apartment, jabbing the TRIANGLE SQUARE X CIRCLE buttons and crying "I hate battles!" just to hear her say "No, you looooove battles!"

Back then, I had never seen more impressive CG in my life. Even though it's little compared to what they come out with now, it still takes my breath away.

YAY FF9! I just fought the big undead tree abomination at the Iifa Tree, and went back to Madain Sari where Dagger REMEMBERED THINGS, and now I'm going back to the Iifa Tree in the hopes that I might get to rumble with Kuja XD Who's your favorite character?

Tee hee, Vivi hands down!!

Just a thought, Tim is playing FFxivARR and it really looks and feels like a grown up FFIX! In fact some of the caster classes's gear reminds me of Vivi. It's MMORPG but still awesome. Though right now they are experiencing a bit of a server issue since the game just launched.

lol, that's awesome. I miss that game, I really need to break out my PS2 now. did you ever do the mini chocobo game? I used to waste HOURS looking for the boxes and trolling the planet, going up to that ledge near that one place with the dragons, talk about instant leveling up!

Hahaha I totally know what you mean about the place with the dragons! I accidentally ended up there once when I wasn't big enough, and got SLAUGHTERED. I think there's a point where some Moogle or other is like "Don't go up there, it's dangerous!" And they're RIGHT XD

YAAAY! I always read your tweets about the newer FF games with delight :) I love Vivi too. Rachel adored him when I first met her. He's just so sweet and hesitant. I also love how everyone really has their own journey they go through, not just one central character.

How's the newest one? That's the one with Fang and Vanille, right? I know of these things only from Tumblr XD
