Some mori girl outfits

This week I decided that I don't want to wear pants anymore. I think, in all probability, I'll end up wearing pants fairly often (they're just so convenient!), but I feel much more comfortable in skirts. I just need to get some fabric and make some so I don't bankrupt myself having to buy new clothes.
I tried for a mori girl-ish look this week. On Wednesday I had to wear short sleeves because they were administering flu shots at work and I know the follies of trying to yank a tight sweater sleeve up to the shoulder in order to be injected e_e I have this peach and yellow plaid dress that I bought at a local second-hand shop and that I really love, and because it was cold and rainy I wore leggings and a sweater with it. At work, which is always cold, I ended up wrapping myself in
caitirin's hand-spun, hand-knit shawl that I appropriated and keep at my desk. Caitirin took a picture of me when I picked her up from a class later, and made it look all neat on her phone :3

Today I wanted to wear purple for Spirit Day, but all I have that's purple (and not missing buttons) is a sweater-dress that I like but is really too short. I found a long, flowy black cotton skirt of Caitirin's (we have a barter system XD) and wore it under the dress, and it was super comfortable and I thought it looked very nice. Forgot to take a picture, though. Oh well, next time! I currently have a very miffed cat on my lap who is annoyed enough that I'm typing - I don't dare get up and put the sweater back on for a picture.

(If you do go you'll probably want to wait until after Halloween--people go there to buy cheap-ish clothes that can work as costume pieces, so it'll be crowded this weekend.)
