I <3 you, Twilight Princess

I just killed Ganon(dorf) again. I used one fairy and a blue potion in doing so (this is entirely a comment on the difficulty of the final boss battle, not on my skill as a player XD). I did spend much of the time dodging and going "Wait, what am I supposed to be doing?" and then looking at the gamer's guide after I finished and going "Man, it would've been so much easier if I'd known to do that." But it's entirely worth it for the scene where Link books it up the hill when he realizes that Midna's not dead. MIDNA OWNS MY LIFE. There has, in my opinion, never been a more developed character in any of the Zelda games. Not to mention a hotter one.
I just adore this game. When I think about how long it takes me to even defeat Phantom Ganon in Ocarina of Time, not to mention defeating actual Ganon at the end (which I've done all of once, and I'm pretty sure that was a fluke), this game really seems much easier in terms of boss battles. The dungeons are just as complex, I think (aargh, Water Temple! You torture me in every incarnation!), and the puzzles are as good, but the boss battles aren't nearly as hard. Or maybe it's just that they're all more uniform. In Ocarina of Time, there were some bosses that were really easy, and some that were hair-tearingly hard (GAAAH, Bongo Bongo!). ... not sure where I was going with this. Perhaps Zelda has an overall Boss Hardness Quotient, and in every game, it divvies out boss-battle hardness differently? But Twilight Princess! It's pretty! SO pretty. I could've done without all of that light bloom sometimes, but that's hardly a complaint, not when we get things like the varied atmospheres of the Yeti/Yeta household and the Arbiter's Grounds, and actual real facial expressions on the characters, and things that scare the everloving crap out of me like the Goron-turned-evil-flame-giant at the end of the Fire Temple and the dead soldiers that point your way through one precarious room in Castle Hyrule at the end. GAH, they practically gave me nightmares. But scary or beautiful, the graphics are mind-blowing.
I can't wait for the next Zelda Wii game to come out (this year, squeal! Well, supposedly, anyway. It's supposed to be "shown off" at E3 this summer; heaven only knows when it'll actually come out). I finally actually HAVE the right platform for it this time!
