My very first fanart of a fic!

liek_woah86 posted a multi-part prequel to House of Cards, the ending of which had a scene that set me squeeing for days. I was determined to draw it, and I said as much, and she expressed excitement at the idea :3 So the first chance I got to draw after Nano, I drew fanart of her fic!

My fanart is from the third part :3 The very end of it, in fact.
And here's the particular snippet I illustrated :D For people who haven't read it, the last part takes place during the Brighton hotel bombing in 1984.
He had just turned down a side street when he realised that Stamper had followed him. He had forgotten all about him. He turned to see the younger man standing in the street, his socks soaked from the foam that the firemen had used to put out the flames that threatened to engulf the hotel. He was obviously still dazed by the whole experience, and looked at Urquhart with a mixture of joy and relief and something that looked far too much like adoration. “Tim,” he said softly and then in a flurry found his arms full as Stamper had thrown himself at him and clung on. There was such desperation in his grasping that it stifled Urquhart and he squirmed in those surprisingly strong arms.
OH CRAP I forgot to make them all beated up from the explosion. D'oh! >_< Why do I always forget to finish stuff before I scan it? Oh well, I still love it :3

Tis beautiful and their expressions are JUST what I imagined and and...shirtsleeves and waistcoats! *squee*

XD I had to go back and read the whole thing because it was so wonderful, and to see what they were wearing :D I was very happy to see that Tim was in a waistcoat, because it made things a lot easier for me. So I gave Urquhart one too XD
I LOVE that passage. Love love love it. Obviously, since I was compelled to draw it, it must be fantastic!
And I love you ^_^ I would never have seen this amazing brilliant series if not for you!

I can't remember how I dressed Urquhart...I got carried away with Tim in his shirtsleeves and socks...*mind wanders*
