That was a busy night.

I had, I think, five separate weirdo dreams last night. Since two of them involved Colin Jeavons (one as Lestrade), I thought there might be interest in reading what I can remember XD They are VERY odd, let me tell you to begin with.
The first dream was like a very bizarre cracky Holmes fic. One of the Irregulars was turning eighteen, or something - coming into man's estate in any case - and so pretty much the entire cast of the canon were throwing him a surprise birthday party. I remember at least that Inspector MacDonald was there. Everybody brought their families, and the only people missing at the end were Holmes, Watson, and Mrs. Hudson (who I suspected were planning something particularly special). Anyway, people kept arriving, including the Irregular's brother, who had organized the whole thing and found their parents, with whom the Irregular was estranged. So there was that whole angle of uncomfortable reconciliation, but it was ultimately happy. Anyway, we were all in what was sort of a basement pub, and I was someone who was married to a guy named Crane. What I remember best was when Lestrade showed up, and he had three daughters with him: one older one and two younger twins, all teenagers who looked very much like him. I really have no idea who I was, but he said "Good evening, Mrs. Crane," and I was all "Inspector Lestrade!!!" *GLOMP* And he kind of squeaked and patted me awkwardly XD When I woke up after this one, I thought it was SO coherent and interesting, but if it was, I don't remember enough of it to be that cool. I remembered the good part, at least XD
In the other Colin Jeavons dream, he was playing a character that wasn't one from anything I've seen (more about that later). He was in some sort of Grange hall with a bunch of people he'd known from school, and he'd been hiding the fact that he was gay his entire life. All I really remember was that he was sitting with some classmates (they were all grown up, in their forties or fifties at least) and he was wearing a white dress shirt, and he was in love with one of his classmates who was ultimately going to have him killed. ^^;; HoC much?
The other three didn't involve Colin Jeavons, sadly, but they were bizarre enough to give a mention here.
- In one,
caitirin and I were in this huge building with wide staircases, like a university or a museum, and there were crowds and crowds of people going up the stairs and outside. We got caught up in the rush and separated. I was behind her, and at a branch in the hallways I thought she went right. So I went up, and everyone was gathering at this giant Greek temple up on a step-leveled hill on the horizon. I turned around to go back down to find Caitirin, and joined with some people who had lost the people they were with too. We found the break in the hallway, went down it, and there were armed military people who wouldn't let us through o_o I knew they'd captured everyone who went that way and I was sure she was probably already dead. We waited outside the room for a long time, and there was no more of that dream.
- In the next, I was with this girl who had a little mummy in a jar. I'm scared of mummies, and so I didn't want to look at it, but we had to take it with us to the mall because my glasses broke and I had to get them fixed. As we were taking it out of the house, it got jostled around and its skin fell off, which made it look less scary because it was just a skeleton (a nice white clean one, too!)
- The last one, the least coherent, had to do with sitting on wires high above a pool and using giant fishing lures to play games. People were coming to a pool party dressed up in fuzzy blue Yeti suits. Yeah, I don't even know.
-There was another dream, too, somewhere in between those, about a skeevy game arcade.

Date: 2009-11-07 05:12 pm (UTC)I have the most delicious image in my head of Lestrade meeting his fangirl mob. I still love the idea of you and I smooching opposite cheeks at once, but have now added
(No, I am not trying to suggest that you draw a chibi rendering of this scene. Later, when Nano is done. Why would you ever suppose I meant THAT? ;P )

Date: 2009-11-07 07:29 pm (UTC)He DID squeak. It was pretty dignified for a squeak, but a squeak nonetheless. In the dream, we knew each other, but I was still an unabashed fangirl XD

Date: 2009-11-08 01:51 am (UTC)I love the idea of Lestrade having daughters...but the poor things would have a terrible time going out on a date! (Y-y-your father is who???") Got to smile at the thought. Hmm...I think I'll bank that memory for later...
Fuzzy blue yeti suits? Any chance you cross-wired with old Jonny Quest and Dr. Who episodes? That's what happened to me far, far too much...sigh...oh the joys of being born before the stupid cartoon censors...

Date: 2009-11-08 07:15 pm (UTC)The Lestrade dream sounds delightful! Squeeful fangirl! "Mrs. Crane"! I hope your husband wasn't Denny Crane. *gigglesnort*
The one about the military was much scarier than the one about the mummy. O_O I agree that a skeleton, especially a nice clean one is lots less scary than a mummy.
And fuzzy blue Yeti suits at a pool party? Fishing from the wires? As weird as it sounds, I kind of like it! Eeeeheeeheee!

Date: 2009-11-08 07:20 pm (UTC)Caitirin said the same thing about Denny Crane XD Mr. Crane most definitely not William Shatner. He was some nice young skinny clerk or something.
Daddy was the one doing all the fishing lures for us at the pool party with the Yetis! XD

Date: 2009-11-12 05:32 pm (UTC)Just had to say that I'm more than a little jealous. I've never had Colin Jeavons dreams! It's all right though, I've only be in love with him for about...eleven years...no big deal *sulks*
And he kind of squeaked
I'm sure he would insist that it was a manly squeak though XD
I love how detailed a vivid your dreams are. Mine are always far too abstract to really talk about, which makes me worry for my sanity XD
Also, fuzzy yeti suits...just...Doctor Who! So much Doctor Who! I've never dreamed about people in yeti suits either.
