Fic updates

I like this fic update thing! Thank you to all of the brilliant writers on my f'list whose lead I'm following in doing so :3

Skating fic: 564 words of absolute fluff written. Fluff will continue unabated, and will most likely get fluffier. I found a bunch of articles on www.victorianlondon.org about ice-skating that I'll have to read in more detail.

Post-Hiatus Holmes-and-Lestrade fic: I probably need to find a shorter label for this one; "the H&L have a giant row fic" also fits, but is equally long. I was kicked in the head by this idea this morning. It needs a lot more planning than the skating fic. Why, Mr. Lestrade, do you demand a full-fledged mystery plot every time I attempt to feature you largely in a fic? 120 words of actual prose in mostly disconnected sentences, 363 words of notes.

I also want to draw tonight, and maybe start one of the pictures I promised people in that meme way back when. Whee!

Don't look at me for advice. Every time I let Holmes open his mouth I watch in horror and fascination as the words start scrolling. Is this some sort of benign possession? Still, I'll take three pages of good stuff over one page of good stuff any day! So...don't stop!!

*pout* LJ ate my first comment, alas. What it was, however, was this: OMGOMGOMGOMGYESYESYESYESYES to that Holmes+Lestrade fic, for goodness sake! *bounces with glee* From anybody else, that bunny would make for an elating fic, but from YOU, my dear Elaby, it'll be, not to put too fine a point on it, about seven million miles beyond orgasmic. I'm SO excited for it!!!

And the skating fic too! I don't mean to diminish the skating delight and joy and anticipation, as it is very much of a muchness (which doesn't actually mean what I want it to, but, like Humpty-Dumpty, I'm willing to pay my words extra to mean things that they really don't). But...well, good lord, dear, Holmes and Lestrade and a post-hiatus fight! There is not the tiniest need for me to explain, because you so know already, how much and what profound squee the very notion causes. And I'm getting all tired and babbly, but, really, truly, for serious, SQUEE!

Eeeeeeee! n_n *does a little dance in a circle* I'm so excited you're excited, because I'm really looking forward to writing this fic (in between going "Arg, I'll never pull it off!") I sincerely hope it will end up as good as you hope it will be :D
