Midorikawa Hikaru is to meaningful wordless vocalizations in Japanese as Clive Merrison is to such in English. They need to produce something together XD [/dork]

XD! Midorikawa Hikaru is a Japanese voice actor who, more than the others I've come across, tends to do that thing with his voice where he doesn't actually say a word but conveys a million different meanings nevertheless. It reminded me of Clive Merrison's eminently eloquent "Mmh" and the like in the BBC radio plays. With Midorikawa Hikaru it's almost always wordless angstiness rather than Merrison!Holmes's wordless grumpiness, but they're equally wonderful XD
