Watching Miss Marple on PBS tonight, we were reminded (by a chance remark, not a comparison to the plot) of this little... something... caitirin came up with for _melisande_ way back when we were undergrads. I may have helped some :3 We can't remember exactly what the assignment was, but I think _melisande_ had to write something in pentameter as an assignment. It's not perfectly iambic, at any rate, so the assignment couldn't have been that... Anyway, this is what we gave her:

A peaceful tale with one aberration:
A sudden death by defenestration.

Anyone know if there's a name for the metrical form - ' - ' - ' - - ' - ?

Also, to counter all that culture up there, we had this conversation this afternoon.

elaby: *looking at a bottle of juice* What's flash pasteurization?
caitirin: Maybe they take a superheated element and stick it in or something.
elaby: ... or they show it their boobies and it's so scared that all the microbes die.

*shifty look* ... *runs*

Yeah, somebody recommended them to me! I think there are a bunch. And anything introduced by Alan Cumming is probably worth watching :)
