My wife is wonderful and saved the CSI episode with the guy who recreated 221B Baker St. in his basement until I got home so I could see it again :3 I haven't watched it since I turned into a Holmes dork.

But it was awesome XD 7% solution! Shag tobacco in the Persian slipper toe! Of course Grissom knows about all this.

I find it infinitely brain-breaking/amusing that the group who gathered together were comprised of Holmes, Watson, Irene Adler, and Moriarty. I guess they had to stick Moriarty in there because nobody would know who Lestrade was, even if he would be a lot more likely to hang around deducing things with H&W than Moriarty would be.

But the coolest part!

The solution to the crime (the guy who played Holmes was shot in the head, apparently a suicide) involved the murder weapon, a pistol, attached to the inside of the chimney with a piece of surgical tubing, where it snapped back after "Holmes" was shot in the head. The conclusion they came to (at first) was that he shot himself and made it look like a murder to frame the guy who played Watson. Greg found the gun because a chip of mother of pearl from its handle had come off when it ricocheted off the edge of the fireplace.

Sound familiar to any of you Holmes canon geeks out there? Thor fucking Bridge, yo.

In "The Problem of Thor Bridge," a woman framed her governess, who she was convinced had designs on her husband, by standing on a bridge and shooting herself with a gun which she had attached to a rope and a rock. The rock was hung off the edge of the bridge, and when she shot herself, the gun flew over the edge, making a chip in the stonework as it went - the clue Holmes used to solve the mystery.
