Nano, whee!

2,005 words, and miracle of miracles, my protagonists have already met. I think it was something like four days before that happened in my first novel. However, I've written just over two thousand words and so far a crime scene has been found and somewhat examined. I think I've planned too many murders O_o

Amusing bits from our writing experience tonight:

caitirin: *writey writes, plays loud music, looks at elaby in what appears to be a significant way in response to the particular song*
elaby: *pokes caitirin in the ribs*
caitirin: *SQUEALS and jumps a foot*
elaby: *collapses laughing* What was that?! Didn't you just look at me?
caitirin: Did I?

We also just had the "lay, laid, laid, laying" vs. "lie, lay, lain, lying" discussion. caitirin requested I explain it to her without talking about direct objects*. My braaaaaaain.


*We talked about direct objects. We just used different words for them (such as "things that are acted upon" or "things which the action happens to").
