Edit: Holy crap, people actually DO come into Caitirin's library and say "I need a book." *Caitirin looks at them expectantly. "...It's green."

my favourite response to the "I need a book..." line was to hand them one, and say "there you go."

*bets that's Methods in Enzymology they want*

What? It's green! QP601s. Big set.

*has had extended version of that conversation many times, including patron refusal to use card catalog on grounds she might break a nail*

It is green! Half of it is above our unbound journals shelf! I think the other half is in the stacks.

They were kids from a high school program thing, so it was some special book Caitirin had behind the desk :)

*LAUGHS* Close, but not quite. This was a reserve book

QP 601 .M49! Scads of those over the reference section though. One of the few numbers I can rattle off the top of my head. That and Fisheries Bulletin which is SH 11 .A...something.

heheh been there with the book thing, at B Dalton. It's actually quite amazing how many people come in looking for a book and can't tell you a blessed important thing about it. The color one I recall is blue, though. "It's a blue book, about this tall *gestures*. I don't know who wrote it //or what it's about//." ((Then why do you want it? Do you really like that color blue?))

Seriously! Why would you want a book that you didn't know what it was about? O_o Maybe it was for a class or something. Some kind of assignment? That's so weird!

I recognized more songs on [livejournal.com profile] caitirin's list than on yours, oddly enough. I'll do this one soon, although I think I've done it before. :)

Hee, I think you have too! Still, I want to see it ^_^ I think I might have recognized more on Caitirin's list :) Probably because we stopped listening to the radio in my last two years of high school!

That would be the reason! Anime music sort of took over, didn't it?

It did! I also got the stick-a-tape-in-and-play-a-CD thingamajig at that time so we didn't use the radio much ^_^
