Oh, you didn't think you'd get away with me taking another semester of Shakespeare and not posting amusing quotes in my DJ, did you? I would post a body count for Richard III, except that I think I already did. No, wait, that was King Lear.

Just for the record...

Richard III = teh FUNNY.

He is, of course, sort of like Historical Accuracy Antichrist. As Bethany would attest. But he's still funny.

Queen Anne: *angsts*
Richard (of Gloucester, hence Glo): Hey baby.
Queen Anne: *kicks him in the nads*

Anne. Villain, thou know’st no law of God nor man:
No beast so fierce but knows some touch of pity.
Glo. But I know none, and therefore am no beast.
Anne. O! wonderful, when devils tell the truth.
Glo. More wonderful when angels are so angry.

Richard: But I only, like, killed your husband and father-in-law because I'm so in love with you.
Queen Anne: Really? That's so sweet! I don't hate you any more at all.

I find this play much more amusing to read when I imagine Ian McKellan playing Richard.
