*grins* [livejournal.com profile] _melisande_ has this uber-neat character who really needs a hug...
*grins* And so I dragged Jezebel out of non-character-ness to bug him.

Thomas belongs to [livejournal.com profile] _melisande_ and Jezebel is mine ^_^

Progress )

Aaah, I feel we made progress! *grins like a loon*

Has been stuck in my head ALL DAMN NIGHT. I'm not complaining, though
^_^ I loooove it. I need to see it! Gah! I need to I need to!

Of
course, the entire time I'm rooting for and totally sympathetic towards
the bad guy... but he's just so awesome. And angsty. And awesome. The
guy who plays the Phantom in my version is... *goes to check her scans*

Is
Michael Crawford. He's got a very, very cool voice. It often reminds me
of Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas, but I'm not sure why...
something about the timbre and how he dips deep sometimes. The whole
echoy effect probably helps. Anyway, he's got such an expressive voice.
It's gorgeous. And it's so sad -_- He has all sorts of bits on my CD
where his voice is just so sorrowful, it makes me think of the way
seiyuu for anime can do it.

Right now what I've got stuck in
my head is the part that the two dudes who run the theatre (all I know
is that one's name is Andre...) are singing when they get those letters
from the Phantom, the part that goes "Far too many notes for my taste,
and most of them about Christine... all we've heard since we've came is
Miss DaaƩ's name..."

But actually my favorite part of the
entire thing (need to SEE IT) is tracks 5 through 8... it starts with
something I actually don't remember, but it's the first time you really
hear the Phantom well, I think... the "Insolent boy!" line. And then
Raoul goes off and Christine talks to the Phantom in her room, and he's
in the mirror... duuuu... and then he brings her down into wherever it
is he lives. I don't even know what the song is called, but it's the
one that has the pipe organs and goes "the Phantom of the Opera is
here... inside my mind." I just love the way she sings, when she's
realy getting into it, and you hear very faintly through her voice the
Phantom whispering "...sing..." And she keeps going up and up, an
octave higher every time she takes a breath, and in the background he
gets louder, until he cries "Sing, my angel of music! Sing for me!!" And her voice hits the highest note I think is possible. It's like... screaming beautifully. *boggles*

It's SO COOL. *fangirlishness*

And
then we get Music of the Night, which is just a BEAUTIFUL song. Adriel
really really likes this soundtrack ^_^ It makes him sad, though,
because he feels bad for the Phantom and no one loves him -_- This
group of songs has another of my favorite parts in it, when Christine
keeps trying to grab the Phantom's mask. When she finally does, he
flips out at her, and the angst is... supremely audible. I love this
man's voice ^_^

Anyway, I'm done now. *grins* I used to do
this on the Diaspora Redwall boards I frequented... the ones that were
just mysteriously deleted ^^;; This whole random post o' the month
thing. Most of them were like this (unlike my other random deadjournal
posts) - exercises in fangirlishness ;)
