Snow

Am home today because of the snow. Stupid university didn't curtail, though, so caitirin is at work :(

My manager, who is wonderful, told us that if we didn't feel safe driving to work, we should just stay home, so that's what I'm doing. People are using the road by our apartment as a sledding/skating rink, so - yeah. But caitirin made it to work on the bus. I called my job and apparently it's 65 degrees in there, and when the thermostat says it's 73 it FEELS like it's 65, so I can only imagine how comfortable it must be. Yay for being home!

I'm at home, too. Dee called me at 7:30 this morning and said that since "everything else in the friggin' state was closed", she could see no reason that our little office should be open. I think I've really fallen into a great job here! *dances*

On the other hand, I was keeping an eye on the TV and hoping that UNH would cancel, so that caitirin could stay home. That really sucks. :( I'm glad that your manager is sensible and nice.

I'm glad my manager is sensible and nice too! And I'm really glad yours is :) Everywhere else around here is closed too, but noooo, UNH is evil.

I don't know! They don't want to pay people for not being there >_< And apparently they didn't want to cancel classes so close to the end of the semester, but most of the professors canceled anyway.
