Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates it! And to everyone who doesn't, I hope you have a really nice day too :)

My mother (now

coastal_spirit - we gave her an LJ rename token for her birthday!) makes the BEST apple pie in the entire universe. No joke. We brought some home after spending the day at their house for Thanksgiving. We also had really wonderful snacks (crackers and cheese, chips and dip, nuts) and really fantastic stuffing cooked outside the bird, and cauliflower au gratin and green bean casserole and mashed potatoes and rolls. And cranberry-apple-orange-walnut chutney. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday!

I feel a lot better, though I'm still coughing. I've started a new storyline in the my Nano, and although I'm way behind, I'm still going to try to write every day even if I don't get to 50,000 by the thirtieth.

We brought turkey home for our kitties! They LOVED it. I have to work tomorrow (blasphemy!) but I get out early, at least.

Mmmm, happy! I love my family.
