We're back from our honeymoon! It was beyond wonderful, and I am very happy and tired. Curling-up-with-[livejournal.com profile] caitirin-and-flopping time to commence shortly.

But first, I got this fantastic spam this week and I had to share it with you all. I'm not sure if everyone gets this kind of spam. They seem to be pieces of otherwise interesting sentences - ones maybe even geared toward my interests particularly? - patched together in a way that at first glance seems sensical, but upon further investigation is highly NOT.

"The king made a sign, and the heralds, in their to marry,
a girl called martine. Emma crackenthorpe up at obrien.
i have not betrayed julia, he said. A single avowed principle
a nation dedicated to starved and tired and have not received
their to the north that our quest must lie. But the and
it will show them which way we are gone. It poirot, who
did not care for port, was sipping poorhouse grow more frightful
every day. I thought kalaardeshira deep wellwhy it was a
visit to the and a patch or two of humble tamarisks. The
rapidity advise you, kind sir, to return to the place from
it. Within were a few lines of writing and her allow me.
i was placed in bed where, covered up first. Of course,
he said. It's monsieurmonsieur."

The last line is powerful, isn't it?

I also wanted to point people to Qarrtsiluni, an awesome online literary magazine that [livejournal.com profile] minyan is co-editing this month. It's full of very interesting, compelling, and beautiful writing. It also has some very neat photographs, and they kindly accepted one of my drawings for this month's challenge, Making Sense :) You'll find it under 23/10/2007 a little way down on the page. *squee* My first acceptance into any form of publication!

[edit: Oh! I forgot. I'm sure my f'list has quite gone 'splody what with JKR's announcement about Dumbledore last week (the night before we left! We read the first news thing at 11:30 or so and haven't read anything since!) and generally being away from LJ for seven days, so it'll be a while until I can catch up. So if I'm very late commenting, or I miss something, that's why :) Feel free to bring anything to my attention in this post, also, if you want to make sure I don't miss it!]

Welcome back.

Almost makes me want to relax my spam filters, so I too could receive such poetry.

My flist flooded after JKR's announcement, and mine isn't as HP reading concentrated as others.

I knew I had a voice mail, I just hadn't listened yet. Sorry!

Normally on Tuesdays I have the 3 little kids from 4:00 to 5:00 then do Greek with Brice from 5:30 to 7:30ish, but let me talk to Brice and see if I can move him to a different day. That really shouldn't be a problem.

Some would consider that spam to be a work of literary genius. ;)

Congrats on your first publication! I really do love the coloring on the cat.
