Some of the Five Things challenges people have generously given me!

Five important decisions that Kenshin made that he does NOT regret.

- Trusting Sano
- Leaving Kaoru in Tokyo when he went to Kyoto
- Going home with Kaoru after he went to Kyoto
- Passing his sakabatou on to Yahiko
- Not following up on Saitou’s failure to respond to his challenge after the Jinchuu arc*

(*Note to Mum: I hope I remember correctly and Kenshin did offer to finish his battle with Saitou and Saitou neglected to respond, not the other way around. Consulting my source of information about this would defeat the purpose of the meme, I think ^^;;)

Five times Mei has forgotten something really important.

- When she didn’t call to say she was going to be home from a mission a day late the weekend she and Rosemary had planned a vacation together.
- The time she was distracted when making strawberry pie for the kids at Mandala and didn't add any sugar.
- When she came back to Japan after several decades living in 19th century Europe and attempted to address the feelings of her superior officer plainly.
- When she realized she couldn't remember that song her mother used to sing when she cut flowers in the garden for ikebana.
- The time she misjudged how touchy Cai was feeling and told her to be careful not to get a sunburn.

Thank you! I like #1 the best. :) And yes, you are correct. Kenshin sent a note challenging Saitou to fight him once he found out for sure that his ability to use Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu would be gone in a few years. He went out and waited for Saitou, but of course, he never showed. And they both let the matter drop after that.
