1,796 words! That's... about 1,000 (generously) less than we should have so far. So we're still behind, but that's pretty good for having started tonight, I think.

So far we have established our "normal day" and soon we'll be ready to throw our characters into chaos! Whee!

In other news, I have joined pintel_ragetti, a community in appreciation of everyone's favorite piratical supporting characters. And their married-itude :3

good start! 'normal day', eh? Maybe I should try that sometime :P Actually, my first novel, which I was revising recently, begins with the main character playfully stabbing a loaf of bread instead of just slicing it as he's supposed to be doing... how much fun does he really get? he's a farmboy in the middle of nowhere with only his dad and their ox in 20 miles.

Hehehe, that sounds like a great opening scene ^_^ Since we're doing a horror thing, we wanted to establish what regular life was doing to everyone.
