We saw Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End this morning.
OMGOMGOMG. *flails* *flails some more*
I mightily [heart] every single character. 'Specially Barbossa and Gibbs. But everyone. All of them.
More to come when I can be sure a long post I write up will actually post. But yeah. LOVED IT.
We're going to watch Die Hard now! 'Cause we saw a preview for a new one and it looks GREAT *dies laughing*

Date: 2007-06-03 01:35 pm (UTC)My suggestion on the long post problem: write it in Word, or whatever you have for a word-processing program and keep trying to post it, since this problem seems to be going in and out. That way you won't lose it or have to re-write it.
The new Die Hard did look good! I hadn't heard of it, but when I was watching the preview, I thought "This looks like another Die Hard!"
Ditto for Ocean's Thirteen.

Date: 2007-06-03 02:34 pm (UTC)The first Die Hard, which we watched last night (Alan Rickman, whee!) was very... eighties. There was almost no special effect-ness or leaping about like in Casino Royale. Bruce Willis somehow always manages to be absolutely adorable.
We need to see Pirates with you, because yeah, I had a hard time figuring out what was going on much of the time. And afterward, I kept thinking "Er, why didn't *this happen*" and "What the heck was *that* all about" and stuff. I did like it a really really lot, though, and if it weren't for the fact that the first one was so awesome because it was new, I'd say this could be my favorite of the three. It had so much in it that rewarded you for noticing stuff in the other movies :)
Also, Barbossa wuvs his monkey! Who's Daddy's little boy? *dies* And yeh, I wasn't as enthralled with Jack as I was in the first movie, but I felt that way with PotC 2 as well. I liked Elizabeth a lot more in this one, though, and Will, for the last 20 minutes, at least.
The MUSIC OMG. I need it.

Yes! And that is a credit to the film makers, since usually it's only the fans that keep track of the odd details.

Yes! We both laughed at that. Lots and lots of good moments like that.

Yes, I was pleased with Elizabeth. She kicked ass. And for the last 20 minutes or so I actually thought Will looked hot. <<<< shallow hormonally-induced thinking.

Date: 2007-06-04 11:27 am (UTC)Mmmm...Alan Rickman.
So most of the busses in LA have plastered across their side, "Yippee kai yay, mo"
Just enough, that everyone says it in their head, but not enough that they get in trouble. :)
