*collapses* Okay. Paper 1 = finished, triple-checked, printed, stapled, foldered, backpacked. Paper 2 = one section left, 2-7 page leeway and one day to do it in.

I... am tired of spending all weekend writing papers. Yes I am. Yesterday I did about 6 straight hours, today I've done, let's see, 9? Oh, I broke to eat dinner and to help caitirin with a few jars sometime in the middle.

My parents have a pretty new house! SO pretty! We made guacamole there yesterday. The kitties are adapting predicably (i.e. Mariemaia is exploring the place like Indiana Jones and Kenshin is alternately hiding under/in the bed and slinking about on his belly).

You may find this interesting; one of my friends in the local music scene is in both of your classes. He was playing Saturday night at the Barley Pub and was laying off the sauce for the night so that he could he pump out work on his own papers before and after he went on. I think he was most of the way done with the paper due on Monday and still needed to start the one due for Tuesday.

Oh, Jim :) Yeah, he's really awesome! I keep meaning to go see him play, and maybe now that the semester's over, I'll get to. I'm glad he sounded like he was close to being done with the Theory paper, since he'd had his ideas thwarted for that one a couple times.

Yeah, it sounded like he was struggling with it. Friday night he took a break from writing to go to a party that we were both at. He's playing next on the 16th at the Barley Pub with Sixth Root; this past Saturday was with Texas Governor. I should be there as well as a few of the comic shop crowd.

If you and caitirin don't have anything else going on, the two of you should come on out for it. The pub is smokefree now, there's no pressure for people to drink there, and generally has been a safe place. The door charge is $4 and the first band is going to go on at about 9:30pm followed by Sixth Root after them.

I didn't know it was smoke-free now! That's awesome. The only other time I've been there, it was pretty smoky. We'll have to see what's going on that day :)
