Done with the mofo ethnography. Twenty pages, and pared down from god-knows-what. It all makes sense, it has threads that weave together, and I use the word "experience" FAR too many times. There really just aren't any good synonyms for that O.o

Also, as caitirin mentioned, we have been looking forward to a Pokémon movie that they were going to show on the WB for weeks. It was on this morning, and all the voice actors were different. I really don't hold with dubbed anime to begin with, but I can deal with Pokémon because I'm used to it and the people are talented. Not so with whoever the hell these people were. WTF, Kids WB? At least Pikachu was the same - and if it wasn't Ootani Ikue, I know it was at least a Japanese actor. Also, the animation was much worse than it usually is even in the show. And this was a MOVIE. Disappointment city.

Oh well. We have REALLY good bread, and that makes up for it.

Oh NO. Different voice actors?? They never did that before in any of the other movies! That's totally weird. I wonder why?

I KNOW. *was very weirded out* They didn't ever do that before! I was wondering if a different company dubbed it... that's the only reason I could think of. But they all sounded like they were really really trying to sound like the normal actors, but they just didn't. Especially Professor Oak and Misty... they were very close, but not at all the same. And Jessie was almost the same, but James was HORRENDOUS. They all tried to sound like the normal actors, though.
