Curiosity sparked by daegaer's recent drabbles, I went looking to see what the Schwarz character designs look like for Weiss Kreuz Gluhen.

Oh my god.

Bad Koyasu. Bad BAD Koyasu. Badbadbadbadbad Koyasu. No more attempting to stiff character designers; unfortunate things happen.

Note: I have seen none of Gluhen. If I saw some of it, this might not seem so utterly ridiculous to me. But Weiss Kreuz is in itself ridiculous, and that's why I love it.

So. Yeah. Character designs.

This is Schuldich's new character design. Is it just me, or does he look like he belongs in Rose of Versailles instead? His hair is still orange.

*busts a GUT* Crawford. Has a monacle. HEE.

Crawford, in living color. *chokesnort*.

Farfarello gets redesigned too. At least his eyes are appropriate. His hair is either yellow or green, depending on how good the screencap I saw was.

I STILL think Schuldich looks like a girl. Or like Rosemarine, the head student from Song of the Wind and Trees. Who looks like a girl.

Boy howdy. I need to download the opener, because from the screencaps I saw, it looks SO similar to the second opener of the first series (which I learned is called Kapitel).

I think this is the most appropriate use of that icon EVER.

In the previous series, he was WICKED evil. Like, the only badass in the series who you really COULD take seriously. And my absolute favorite.

So, something like giving Mikage a monocle? That would just be...no. Very much the bad crack. Every time I look at it I have to laugh.

Yeah. It IS kind of like giving Mikage a monacle. Except everything in Utena is about 3000 times more complex and meaningful and well-thought-out. Weiss Kreuz is one of my favorite shows, but in the scheme of things, it's really pretty craptacular. At least, that's my opinion of the first anime series ^^;; Which I love to bits nevertheless.

Schuldich is very, very pretty. *snerk* The white suit was bad enough, but I don't think the suspenders and cap quite fit his personality. He looks like he should be in "Newsies".

Crawford is just .... BWAAAHAAHAAA. *wipes tears from my eyes* I don't think he's the type to wear ruffled-cuff shirts. And that monocle. Crawford is so the tailored business-suit type. What were they thinking? And his hair seems to have gone prematurely grey. Stress, no doubt ... maybe from seeing Schuldich's sudden transformation? *snicker*

Somehow, I don't think they'd be at all pleased with their new character designs.

I don't think they'd be pleased either. I like Crawford as my suit-and-glasses totally in control oh-so-evil type. *sigh* Shikata ga nai, yo ne.

Good job! I really like that feature ^_^ I had an LJ client that I was using, but I couldn't do that with it O.o It didn't read HTML and there wasn't a button for it like there was for italics. So I got a new client.

By the way, do you know why there's a semicolon in front of the workaholic on your icon?
