You know that Lord of the Rings meme I'd been threatening to show you all? It's ALMOST done. One more picture. But I scanned a bunch of my other drawings (mostly fan art) that I had been ignoring in my notebook in favor of the stuff for the meme.



I LOVE RENJI SO MUCH. And so does Caitirin, which means that she squees mightily when I draw him. This = bonus for me. Contrary to how it usually appears, I do enjoy drawing guys who look like they're over 15 once in a while!


I had this hilarious ambition to draw all the members of the Fellowship as I see them in my head, but that's kind of problematic, since my image of most of them tends to change. Anyway, I got as far as Legolas and Gimli. Pretty Elf is pretty. It's hard to nail Legolas down, though, because I feel like Elves have this alienness about them, and he slides back and forth between childlike imperturbability and fatalism.


I've never drawn anybody with this big a beard before! I really noticed this time reading the trilogy that Gimli really is very young, and I wanted to portray that. His beard...clip...thing was fun to design.


I drew this for Caitirin's birthday ^_^ It's Aoe Reiji and Naoya from Love Mode, her biggest OTP ever. I wanted to draw them being happy and adorable because they don't get to be happy that often (until the end, that is).


I drew this for Caitirin's Changling game. It's a dream all the PCs had in between "seasons" of sorts. (She even did a little "next season preview" of scenes we'll see when we finished the first arc XD She is an AWESOME GM.) The guy who looks like Elrond is King Acwellen of the Sidhe court, and the poor hapless (psh) white-haired one is Liszt, Caitirin's majorest NPC. Click to embiggen!

In other news, I partitioned my MacBook and I'm now running Windows as well as OS X, so I can play LOTRO with all the cool kids :3 It's wicked neat. I knew other people had both on their computers, but that never translated in my brain to something I could accomplish too XD This also means that it's now possible for me to run Vocaloid on my computer! That is, if I can figure out where one would procure a copy, and if however much it costs is within how much I'm willing to spend on something I'm just going to be fooling around with for fun. I have no idea how to write music and have no instruments, so I'd only be creating vocal tracks, and the whole program is, I assume, in Japanese. Including, you know, the menus and instructions and everything XD But if it's not too expensive, I would SO GET IT just to make Miku sing silly songs for me.

Nice hair on the fainting(?) person in the last set--the lower left one, I mean--the hair looks like smoke, which is neat.

These are so pretty! I've seen some of them, but not all of them.

My favorite one is Legolas - his face and eyes are really pretty and the style looks slightly different from your usual style.

I also like Gimli's beard and hair, and how he looks so young.

I like the guys, too. They look so happy. :)

Yup, he's fainted on the ground :) Thank you! Caitirin wanted his hair to be all swirly, and she was really pleased with it, so I'm pleased too :)
