Not posting much but Illustration Friday stuff lately, am I? Oh well, art is good!

It's Cheburashka! He's a small furry falling-down-type-thing! I love the precious little guy, I do. I don't know what he did - fell into a mud puddle, or something - but you can be sure Gena will take him home and wash him up in the sink or something equally charming.


I made cookies last night! Heart-shaped sugar ones, with frosting and sprinkles. A billion of them! And we sold all but three today at work, to raise money for local animal shelters.

You know what I like? Sleep.

Livanov!Holmes icon for this post, on account of his doing Gena's voice in the Cheburashka movies. Singing Livanov is a joy to mine ears.

*giggles* No doubt a desperate adorable attempt to make breakfast in bed for his best friend Gena (on his birthday), only to narrowly avoid death by toaster and a fall into the peanutbutter dish.

Perhaps, you'll be disappointed but it's Vladimir Ferapontov who sang Gena's songs. He was a master of dubbing, that's why his voice sounds in these cartoons so close to Livanov's.
