Oh, my giddy aunt.

I just found a video with a bunch of clips of the Russian Sherlock Holmes series' version of "The Final Problem" and "The Empty House." It's... unbelievably wonderful. The slight modifications of canon in my head don't come close.

Of course I'm talking about the death and reunion scenes. Watson playing Holmes's violin. Mrs. Hudson being present as Holmes takes off his costume. Watson falling into Holmes's arms, and Holmes breaking down as well. I think I've died and gone to heaven.

Can someone tell me if this series (the Russian Sherlock Holmes series with Vasily Livanov and Vitaly Solomin) is available to buy? At present I don't even care if it's got subtitles.

[Edit: Found it on Amazon. All of it. With English subtitles, even. AHAHAHA.]
[Edit the Second: Er. Bought them. Well, bought the volume with "A Study in Scarlet" and "The Speckled Band" and (obviously) the volume with "The Final Problem" and "The Empty House", which also (GET THIS) includes the "Charles Augustus Milverton" episode. I never just buy things for myself, so... yes. I think I can indulge in this. This was all spurred by watching clips of this series' "Hound of the Baskervilles" on YouTube, which was not only charming, but the closest version to canon I've seen yet (i.e. practically identical).]
