I was fretting today about how my novel is going, and how it seems like I'm sacrificing interesting character interaction for the sake of keeping the plot interesting and moving it along. And I'm still not sure what's the best way to show what's going ON in said plot.

This was causing me to make the :{ face.

So tonight, I say fuck it.

I have 20 minutes before America's Next Top Model to get Fastred and Lyonn drunk enough to bathe together.

Go.

Sorry...just makes me think of something I heard about in class today.

Apparently my instructor was at something in Boston as a guest lecturer, and one of the people at the writing thing was just there for fun, and wanted to be praised for her 4 volumn novel about Aaron Burr.

It was slash.

Burr and Hamilton; and how their affair dissolved to the point of them duelling.

IN FOUR VOLUMES!!!!

Somehow, she got a hold of Elise's home number, and called her crying when she showed it to fairly big name author somewhere and he slammed her for it.

Intersting fact: I've only had two characters drink alcohol in all of my writing. Well, if I had any more, I can't remember them. Both those characters got drunk, too.

I've never been drunk, either. Not even buzzed.

One of my characters acted goofy, while the other was depressed. Both were somewhat clumsy.

Besides such basic effects, though, I didn't know how else to describe it. You'd best ask someone who's been drunk.

Well, they ended up falling asleep on each other. Without clothes, but with blankets, and lots of alcohol. Nothing happened, but it's awkward!
