Art post part II

Here's the second part of my three-part art post of pictures I've drawn since last March or so. I need to keep up with my scanning better! Things get smudged otherwise.

Noelle! From Tenshi ni Narumon. Because I wanted to see if I could draw her and her jelly-cheeks. She's SO cute. The text says "tenshi ni naru to iu koto wa" (being an angel means...) and then "kimi wa totemo chikaku tte, tooku ni iru" (even though you're so close, you're far away). It's from a song Raphael sings in the show.


Er, this is some tumbling angel thing. I wanted to draw shoulders. Her (her?) wings are kind of weird-looking, but I like the sprawling kind of look she has.


Trilby, from Templarwolf's modified World of Darkness game. She's a brownie ^_^ She spends her days cleaning the houses of rich people in Boston, and her nights trying to save the world from mutant spider demons and, um, exploding aliens. I'm not sure what's up with the flower, to be quite honest.


This is Will, who is Caitirin's character from the World of Darkness game. He's a werewolf, but mostly he's a poor street performer art student. I tried to draw the chip on his shoulder, but I wasn't successful ;)


HAHA. During one game we were playing, my dice would just NOT cooperate. And I kept forgetting to use my "oh shit" points that could save me when I botched. Caitirin was just angry at the world in general that night, and I wanted to throw all my dice out the window ^^;; But we still had fun, like we always do.


This is East, the protagonist from my (failed) Nano this November. She wore a wool hat most of the time.


Sera, the princess from Caitirin's 2007 Nano, looking pensive at the Academy. She's wearing the Academy's battle uniform, I think, inspired by Nausicaa. I loved drawing her hair :)


This is a headshot of Gabriel, Alexi's older brother from Caitirin's Nano. He's all sexy. I'm not sure what he's going on, but I wanted to draw some kind of expression rather than just a front-on smiling thing like I do most of the time. His hair makes me happy.


Sabien and Jean, from Caitirin's Nano, in the everyday Academy uniform. Sabien is the one on the right, and Jean is the littler one on the left. I drew them before Caitirin made them up (I drew them and then she gave them personalities and a story) so I think they probably ended up a little different, but I still like this picture.

Noelle! I especially like her eyelashes.

Trilby looks like a brownie! I really love her hair and the detail on her sweater. Her eyes are beautiful, a different shape, and again, I like the lashes.

I like the name East, and I like the movement of her hair very much.

Sabien and Jean are just as cute as they can be. I like their uniforms!

And I really like everyone's hands. They're very expressive. You trained me well, as I always notice the hands, no matter who's doing the drawing. :)

Sabien and Jean were fun to draw :) And even more fun to find out what they would be like when Caitirin fleshed them out!

Remind me to show you the hands in Peacemaker. They're very different, and I can't decide whether I like them or not. Everyone has very long fingers, very long fingernails. They're not quite graceless, but not graceful, either.

Hmm, interesting! Peacemaker has a very interesting style altogether, I think. Very different.

Heeheehee. Yes, that's Yuki. He went over to Machi's apartment, which was a total mess, and Manabe picked up something off the floor and handed it to him, which unrolled and was revealed to be Machi's bra. (Manabe is Yuki's best friend *see icon*, and Machi is Manabe's half-sister, and Yuki's eventual girlfriend.) Rather embarrassing situation for both Yuki and Machi, but Manabe thought it was hilarious.

Yeah, and if I recall, correctly, Yuki was the one who got smacked for it. ;) Manabe is the type of guy who does outrageous things and never gets blamed, whereas Yuki starts blushing all over the place, but always gets the blame for whatever Manabe got him into.
