Seriously, this is going to surprise no one, but The Original Illustrated Sherlock Holmes was the closest book to me. The quote is from "The Boscombe Valley Mystery." It was a Christmas gift from
_melisande_ who really is my dealer in all things awesome :3 It's illustrated with the Paget drawings, and is a reprint of the original Strand publication, so it's got all the font and spellings (Llama! XD) and formatting from the original magazine. Bweeeeee.
