Kore saiaku da yo, kono tenki.*
The bus definitely almost
passed right by me. Had to clamber alongside it across the snowbanks to
get in. Auspicious beginning, all right.
Since I feel like wasting time, here's a dream I had last night.
I
dreamed I was a boy who lived in the dorms. My dorm room was number 14
on the 44th floor of G wing (don't ask). I went in, and in this wing,
which had G printed on the floors so I figured it was the same... it
was really crappy, like Stoke, only with no carpets. I was looking for
my room, but every time I went up or down a stairway, it would invert
Escher-style and I would get all confused and turned-around. So
eventually I made my way, defying gravity (*siiiiings*), to room 14 on
the 43rd floor, the one right under mine. But I couldn't get to my own
room.
So someone told me I was in the wrong wing. I went to
another wing, which looked kind of like the Portsmouth public library
(as in, it was kind of an old Victorian style, classic, very nice but
obviously old). Wandering around there for the longest time, I still
couldn't find my room. I kept going to floors that were almost the
right number, like room 44 on the 14th floor, or things like that.
Eventually I ran across this huge library with two levels, and there
was an old man sitting behind a desk on the second level who was the
dean of the school. I asked him to help me find my room, and he said I
had to do it myself - but I had been closest the first try, hadn't I?
When I was right below my room? I said yes, and so I tried to get back
to that wing, but I couldn't.
I eventually found myself way up
in the top of a tower, which all defied the laws of architectural
physics, and there was a girl who said I was her roommate. I was like
"O.o No..." and she said that the bed on the other side of the room was
mine. So I went over there, but there was already another boy lying in
the bed. He was really pale, almost blue, and I said "There's somebody
IN this bed, it can't be mine," and he said "I'm dead." I freaked out
and ran, and at that point I realized it was a dream and made myself
wake up (only, when I do that I just make myself DREAM that I've woken
up, and everything is fine.)
I also dreamed that my parents forced me to make up with my Evil Uncle. *frowns*
I'm going to go read the Oresteia now, because that's not undesirable. UG, rain >_<
*This weather sucks.
