A plague upon Elves and all their body parts!

Not only their stiff necks... *strangles herself with her scarf until she stops making obscure references*

This
is why I shouldn't be allowed to draw after 11 at night. The detaily
parts (those being the face, clothes, hair, etc) were drawn today
around 3:00-5:00, but I started it on New Year's Eve at around eleven.

As
I'm sitting there drawing, going la la la, gonna draw Legolas, here's a
head, shoulders, la la la, torso, arms, hands, la la la... wow, Elves
sure have pretty thighs. I like thighs. Drawing thighs is fun.
Although, I'd like thighs a whole lot better if they didn't always
insist on ending in knees. Tra la la...

And then
the next leg of the journey, in which elaby is foolish enough to try
drawing perspective at 12:30 at night. Mayhem ensued.

So I
finished it today. I so wanted to draw boots... but it specifically
says he doesn't wear boots. He wears light shoes perfect for nancing
about on top of the snow and making Helpful Suggestions to piss off
Gandalf, while everyone else is depressed and half dead. I do love
Legolas ^_^

I haven't cleaned it up at all... I swear, I've
never smudged more graphite-y handprints around the edges of the
picture in my life...

Legolas, and perspective

I never thought of Legolas as the hair-up type... no matter now nifty the braids are in the movie.
