Friday Drabble

Written in response to
dakegra's drabble challenge that said: 100 words, or less. Must have a setting, a character, and a resolution. It must also involve, somewhere in your 100 words, the word 'espresso'
"What did you feed that child?" Soria asked, intending it to be rhetorical, as her four-year-old daughter shot from the jungle gym to the slide like a small red-headed tornado. She sat with Alex on a shady park bench.
"Well, she really wanted something when we were passing Dunkin' Donuts on our way here..."
Soria turned to him. "A doughnut did that?"
"I may have given her a sip of my espresso," Alex mumbled, suddenly very interested in Soria's shoes. He could feel her eyes boring into his head.
"You've got her for the afternoon," she said. "I'm going shopping."
