I <3 my tablet

Been playing with my tablet tonight, trying out the "blendy" style that people work with most of the time when they color things by computer (rather than cell-shading, which many people say they have a hard time doing). I'd say this technique does come out looking better more easily.

So I colored that picture of Theo from a while ago. Theo is my past Nano character who keeps knocking about in my brain insisting that I do things with him. I am a bad lazy writer.

Unfortunately, the scanned picture I had was pretty small. Boo. Oh well!


Doing the colors is rather like sculpting. I used the "smudge" tool a lot.



I left the color palettes on there because I thought they looked cool :3

This is great. What one can do with the right tools and talent... If I ever get some $ I can at least buy half of that :P

Thanks :) You have talent! I've seen your drawings! The tablet was around $100, if you're curious. Less than I paid for my old one, which I sold because it isn't compatible with my new laptop.

I think, between being on the phone with my dad and not doing much during that time, it took about 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Probably closer to 2 1/2. I started at 6:30ish and ended at 9:00ish.
