Hey, computer-type people out there: I'd like to hook my Wacom tablet up to my Macbook, but my laptop has no serial port. If I spend the money to get a serial-to-USB adapter, do you think my tablet will work even though the box claims it's for Windows and I'll be hooking it up to a Mac?

I lurve my tablet but I've been lured into the niceness that is working on my computer on the couch next to [livejournal.com profile] caitirin and not by myself on the PC in my room.

Thanks :)

It must be fairly old if it's a serial connection, but I *think* the hardware itself shouldn't be a problem. You'll need the Mac software though. So I'd try downloading it from WACOM and see if it'll work. At least the serial to USB adapters are inexpensive, so if it doesn't work, you're not out much.

Aah, thank you! Weirdly enough, I was given the tablet last Christmas (Dec. 2005) so it's not THAT old... unless that IS old in computer-land ^_^ I'll try downloading the software. Thanks again!
