I found this .gif linked from tvtropes.com and I saved it on my computer and shall keep it forever and ever, for it drives away all manner of bad moods.

Spoiler warnings apply, I suppose, if you haven't seen the BBC's most recent version of Hamlet. But really, there's so much joy in this little .gif that it's worth seeing a few seconds of non-plotty footage.

The guy Hamlet throws himself at is, predictably, Horatio. Who is surprised? Not us! :D

Hahahaha epic hug!!! I actually have this dvd out from Netflix right now!, but I have been feeling too woeful for Hamlet-watching. Cheer up, self! There is Shakespeare to be viewed, and forsooth, it has teh hugs!

It. Is. SO GOOD XD They did a brilliant job with the adaptation. The script is the same, but it's done in a modern setting. I highly recommend it :)

EPIC SQUEE XD Yeah, and it just gets better from there. Horatio is SO GOOD in this, and David Tennant, I mean. Is David Tennant. And his hair is slicked in this scene because it's the presenting-self-to-stepfather scene, but it gets progressively less slick :)
