About that upcoming Holmes movie...

I don't have much to say about it except that I'm looking forward to it, and to quote this:

...the film will explore the "co-dependency" and genuine love between Holmes and Watson.

From this article.

Needless to say, I'm optimistic XD So they're including Mary Morstan and Irene Adler as love interests. I can't expect Hollywood to keep women out of the movie (and I don't know that I'd want them to), and if there are women, they're going to stick them with the men. And anyway, I know that Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law are both extremely talented (not to mention charismatic and sexy) actors who have both shown no reticence to play up the slash in other movies, and even if they hadn't, I respect them both. They're going to be awesome no matter what the movie's like. I do wonder when they're planning to set it, but the article says they're staying true to the stories, so I hope (hope hope hope!) it'll be Victorian London.

Anyway, I'm determined to just enjoy it and not hold the unreasonable hope that it'll portray exactly how the boys from Baker Street are in my head. That's what my head is for!

YAY! I love it when they make new versions and adaptations, even when I fear it's going to be bad. Even when they turn out badly. Because I kind of like to see people playing in the sand box.

Yes, me too! I ought to see the Rupert Everett one, since I think that's the most recent. I'm excited about this one being on the big screen with a budget and all :)

Ahhh, any slash involving Jude Law makes me a happy fangirl indeed. ^_^

Definitely! And there's bound to at least be subtext out the wazoo in this case.
