Art scrappy post
Art from the sketchy pages that live in my school binder. Mostly on lined paper, except one (which I'm really pleased with, so I'm glad it's on unlined paper!)
This first one was a request from
caitirin that I drew on our lunch break today *laughs* I drew this in about 20 minutes, so it's none too technically sound. But I like it :) She asked for Cai and Simon, playing poker while drunk.

This is Trinny, who seems to exist in my head only to sing and wear cute coats. Uh.

Some of you may remember that I have a couple of samurai characters. This is one of them. The text says Honda Masahiko, which is his name. I couldn't remember the kanji for his given name when I drew it. This was mostly an exercise I did after I realized that my profiles look wonky because *gasp* the facial features need to stay in the same place in relation to the rest of the face when turned to the side. I like lined paper for this kind of thing; it's helpful in measuring.

And here's the one on unlined paper that I like a lot. There aren't many details in the clothes and things because I'd put those in when I ink/color it. She's singing a YUKI song that I think is freaking uber cute, and the text says "uso ja nai, aoi miraaaai... (it's not a lie, the blue future...)" She's still got black hair, but I didn't shade it in. Ankles continue to elude me, and the stitching on her shoes ought to be different (I realized later in the day, looking at someone's feet in class) buuut... that's for inking later. YAY tablet inking!

I get your characters mixed up sometimes, and I was thinking of Horatio, and not Simon. I was thinking "I can't imagine Simon being drunk ... oh, SIMON! Yeah, him I can imagine." *snerkgiggle* Banana ...
Trinny looks very Miyazaki-ish in both pictures for some reason. Not the shape of her face, but the hair and clothes. She's cuuute!
Masahiko is hot. ;) Love his hair and eyes.

I am truly flattered by having some of my stuff called Miyazaki-ish ^_^
I'm glad you like Masahiko ^_^ The samurai who he's a retainer to is hotter in my head, but I haven't drawn him yet. It's probably because he's older, and Masahiko is only about 16 or 17 :)
Squee, Mum feedback ^_^
