*flops*

I didn't get the job at the Dean's office.

Come ON, people. HIRE ME.

I guess I've inherited something of my father's prophetic dreams - last night I dreamed I worked there, and it was horrible. Maybe I'm glad I didn't get the job.

Have also been offered part-time work this summer where I used to work (Humanities Center, which was lovely). So I'll have combined work this summer. I'd just love to stop looking now. Hire me! Even though I have an MA, it doesn't mean I'll want to stage a coup and take over or something! Arrr.

I'm sorry. It's their loss.

Sorry to hear you didn't get the position. Hang in there, you got the school/experience cred that people want so you'll hook something soon. :)

It's times like that I wish I owned a neuralizer.

(*Sk_b sits at seat indicated and shakes supervisor's hand*)
(*Neuralizes supervisor*)
"I got the job, the interview was a smash, and you forgot to let the dog out at home." - Sk_b
(*Manager blinks*)
"See you tomor... Holy Crap! How did a dog get in my house!?!" - Supervisor

hope this got a laugh. :)

I'm sorry you didn't get it. Unless it really would have been horrible in which case this is excellent news.

Better luck next time, honey.

Sorry, sweetie! Interviewing is a bitch. Better luck next time!

WEll, it sounds like you've got the means to keep going- the summer part timey thing to mesh into the schedule- and obviously you're trying by putting all those apps out there. How many connections do you have? Is your approach in need of some *cough* social engineering? Politics are stupid, but getting to know the person you'll be hiring can make in impact, as can knowing people who can refer you to jobs that haven't been, shall we say... predecided? This happens, you know, so while I'm sorry you have to go through it again and rejection sucks, perhaps there's something besides 'flashy-thing' them to change the outcome.

They don't know what they're passing up. Twits.

Don't worry, you'll find something soon. The summer work is good news, at any rate; they recognize your worth.

Maybe you *should* stage a coup — you could take over whoever decides when to curtail operations as soon as everyone gets to campus! You'd have the whole writing center staff behind you, armed with St. Martins manuals!

Hope something comes through for you soon.
